Tonight was our Neighborhood Watch block party. Besides the mayor and his wife, there were probably six police officers, two K-9 officers and their dogs, the fire chief and an entire fire crew (with their truck) all present! Needless to say, Jack went bonkers! All of our neighbors were really getting a kick out of Jack's excitement.
First, they gave him a badge to make it official.
But then things turned serious and it was time to get down to business once he got a hat!
"Yes ma'am, I'd be happy to rescue your cat."
They made the fatal error of showing him how to turn on the lights. Because then he turned them on and off again 10,000 times!
"Can I do it just one more time? Pleeeeeease?"
"Oh yeah!"
Even Nathan got in on all the excitement!
The police started to get a little jealous of how much Jack liked the fire truck. It took this officer quite a few tries before he was able to coax him out. In the end, it took the promise of wearing a real riot-gear helmet that did the trick!
"So you're telling me that if I put this thing on I can beat people up? Awesome!"
"The power is intoxicating!"
