Weekend Fun

We've been having some fun this weekend - just me and the boys.  On the way to the park yesterday, both of them fell asleep.  Sooo... I just kept driving - no way am I going to stop the motor and wreck this precious quiet time!

Sometimes I forget just how pretty it is 25 minutes down the road!

This morning we woke up and decided to go to the zoo.

Only Jack would find a bulldozer in the zoo.  Seriously, he couldn't have cared less about any of the animals.  Why is it that this kid can find a construction zone no matter where we go???

Not sure which of our five, (yes 5) trips back to the bulldozer this was.

I finally got him to see some animals by convincing him to feed the giraffes.
He could not stand to look at that big black tongue!

 "Whoa, there's sharks in there!"

"Here, fishy fishy fishy."
(Look carefully, this is the only proof that Nathan was with us!)

Yes, I actually caught him doing "the claw" to the sting rays.

"Hmmm... wonder why they swam away?"

Apparently this is what it's like to have a boy.  Once again, forget the animals....the zoo has stairs to jump down!

"Jump!"
I can't believe he didn't bite it on the way down.

Practice Trick-Or-Treat

We had a practice Trick-or-Treat run and Grammy and Grandaddy's house this weekend.

Jack is Plex, the magical robot from the
TV show Yo Gabba Gabba.
Amy, Ryan and Nathan were characters from Ghost Busters.
Mean old Grammy made us eat mice for dinner!
Jack loves reading to Grandaddy....
as long as he has the "Reading Owl" on his finger.  This is an owl ring that apparently gives him special reading powers.
Stay Puft Marshmallow Man
The party we went to this weekend had a "bubble fogger" machine and we had to get one for ourselves.  This makes bubbles filled with fog....so much fun!

"Poppin'" is Jack's new favorite past-time.
Nate is starting to really smile for us now....
and of course, still loves sleeping!

Getting Ready For Halloween

First Day of Preschool

Jack just started going to preschool 2 days a week and loves it!  He (we) had a great first drop off - neither of us cried!!!!

 Check out that lunch box!
I was so proud of him so I made him a school bus cake for when he got home.  Unfortunately, cake decorating may not be one of my strengths....

...he thought it was a front loader tractor. Look at the disappointment when I told him it was a bus. :(

Random Things

We have some pictures of various things over the last week or so:

Goofing around with Gramps!

Gramps and Nate

Remember Jack's "Special Gramma Jean Time?" Nathan gets some too!!!

Snugglin' with TC.

After my family left, the house was just too quiet and lonely. So we headed to the Naval base for a nice, LOUD airshow!
Jack loved all the jets!

They even "dropped" some bombs with real fire and tons of smoke!!! The grand-finale was such a big explosion that it shook the hangar doors we were leaning on. Needless to say, Jack was thrilled! Nathan just wondered if all the excitement meant it was time for more milk.

This was definitely the best mode of transportation at the show. I wanted someone to pull me around!

"Blah! I want to suck your blood!"

"You don't think she likes blood, too....do you???"

Daddy and Nate having a nice quiet evening.

"Hi, Dad!"

Snuggling brothers.

Jack was busted when he got caught feeding Cheerios to Luigi!
