Swim-Fest 2009!

On a hot Fresno day we decided it was the perfect time to initiate Jack into the world of swimming. Amazingly enough he DID NOT CRY!!! He has always loved taking baths so this was just a little bigger tub.

Oh man- that's a lot colder than my bath!

I thought getting my toes wet would be the hardest part!
Not my bits and pieces!!!

Lawler cousins Adam and Jeff came by to visit on their roadtrip of California.

They brought Jack his very first official Mariners baseball hat- now we just need to get to a game!

Smiley Baby

Jack is now smiling (real smiles - not gas), laughing and talking to us with all of his vowels. Here is a sample of the very happy, smiley baby - sorry for the shakey camera. Mom was trying to give kisses and film at the same time...

Jackito Poquito

Jack's favorite book series is Skippyjon Jones by Judy Schachner- so if you've never read them, this won't make any sense to you. Nevertheless, he came up with his own adaptation of one of the popular songs and we wanted to share it with you.

(Please sing in a muy, muy soft voice.)

Ohhhhhhhhh!

My name is Jackito Poquito! (Clap! Clap!)
I like to fill my diaper-ito! (Clap! Clap!)
I strain and I push,
'Till out comes the mush,
I get the job done, yes indeed-o! (Clap! Clap!)

The End

Our First Mother's Day

We had a bittersweet first Mother's Day - I was loving being a mom but sad because I was going back to work the next day.

Here is a picture of our first Mother's Day Breakfast at the French Bakery!

Going back to work has been ok. So far I am still able to visit with Jack on most days during lunch and feed him so it doesn't seem like I'm away from him for very long.

Here are some other cute pics from the last week

One Month Update

Jack visited the doctor for his one month appointment. Everything was great - he is very healthy. He weighed in at 10 and 14.5oz and he is 23 1/4" long. That puts him in the 95th percentile for height and 90th percentile for weight. He did get a shot in his leg that made him pretty mad most of the day - so here is a video of him smiling to remind us he is usually a happy baby.

Waterboarding?

I will never reveal my secrets... Jihad for milk!!!

Get back, infidel!

No more! I will talk!

There will be a surprise in my diaper for you later tonight!
