Camano Island Cousin Camp 2010

Jack and Ryan on Camano Island- Cama Beach.

Getting ready for the family boat races.

Family Time in WA

Jack discovered his first wall clock.

Amy and Jack on Alki Point

Breakfast with Sister Mary and Sister Yvonne.
We gave up trying to get Jack to cooperate and look at the camera at the right time.

Lawler Wedding

Ryan's cousin, Jeff, was married at the State Capital in Washington last weekend. If you have ever been there you will remember the great number of stairs leading to the entrance. Jack was overwhelmed by the opportunity to climb, climb, climb!

Whew - I made it in one piece.

Ladies, you can just call me Rocky.

Then it was time for some dino calls at the Capital.

Will work for Tips!

Mom - this is George's nose.

Making Grandaddy Rickster pretty with a comb during the ceremony.

This cake is delicious. Maddie doesn't even notice that I'm eating all of hers.

Don't be jealous.

Jack's Trac

Once again Gramps comes through with an awesome new tractor designed and built by him. Get ready for the farming to start!
"Oh wow - can you believe this?!?!?!"

Jack's Tuck and Roll

He can finally do a "tuck and roll" all by himself!

The Chicken of the Sea

This weekend we took out Amy's boat, "The Chicken of the Sea". (If you don't recall this story, please read the disaster of "Mother's Day, 2009"... which actually took place in August...) Of course the Phillips family was with us and we had a great time cruising around and picnicking.

Jack and his Godfather- a.k.a. "The God-Weasel".

Seasick or bad crackers?

Susie posing.

Claire in desperate need of a pair of water skis.

Lunch time!

Thanks, Doug! I can always count on you paying attention when I'm trying to take a picture!

Jack's own mother and Godmother not realizing he's trying to get into a bottle of margarita mix!

The most comfortable life-jacket on the market.

Boating is hard work!

Playing With the Hose

Jack just figured out how much fun it is to play with the hose... that is until it gets you back! Amy was shooting some video through the window of Jack playing in the back yard:

"It got me again!!!"

A great day of playing with hose. And getting soaked!

Peek-A-Boo

Jack is totally into Peek-A-Boo books right now. Here is a cute video of his mom reading one to him before bed. See how calm and sleepy he is by the end?

4th of July

Family tradition for me growing up was always going over to the parent's house of Jack's Godfather for the 4th of July, so we decided to do it again this year! Thanks Doug and Caralee for having us! We started the afternoon swimming in the pool...

"Okay, I can do this! But first- a little liquid courage!"
"Oh yeah! I'm definitely ready for the water now."

"I mean- if a giiiiiirl can do it..."

"Actually, the diving board's a little intimidating. How about a little help, Dad?"

"Not so bad with the legs in. Let's try a little deeper."

"Holy $#@&!!!!! That's COLD"

"COLD! COLD! COLD!"

"Just my toes from now on. Much better, thanks."

It took a little while, but eventually he was jealous of the big kids swimming by themselves.

Claire and Jack

Susie, Claire and Jack playing trains after a day of swimming.

Jack wasn't scared of the fireworks at all! In fact, they would have been pretty neat except the Phillips had a dog door that was just too tempting to resist and that ended up carrying most of his attention during the show.

Watchin' some TV after a loooooong day.

It's Grillin' Time!

I've been running the BBQ a lot this summer and Jack has always been interested. Well, when we found this at Toys-R-Us, we just couldn't pass it up. The grill talks back and forth with all the other condiments and utensils and Jack can't get enough of it. I am also quite fond of it as I have already tripped over it in the middle of the night and also awoken to "burglars" in the house because the stupid thing has randomly gone off at 3 A.M.

"Charlie Coal" and all his mischievous little buddies.

It didn't take Jack long to figure out how to fire up his grill!

Mmmmmm! Just right!
