Danger on the High Seas

Uh oh! For Father's Day, Dad got a tube to pull behind our faithful boat, The Chicken of the Sea. So we had to go try it out this weekend with some help from the Phillips family!

Jack was really pumped up to be back out on the boat this time!

Before the tubing excitement heated up, though, we all decided to jump in the lake to cool off.

Jack was still a little too small to give it a try, so Doug (Jack's Godfather) and Susie broke the new tube in properly.

So who looks more scared here???

Not to be out-done by her older sister, Claire got in on the tubing action too!

Now it was time for things to get serious: The Ultimate Tubing Competition between Doug and Ryan!!!

Doug with an initial show of confidence. (Yes, that is a cast. Yes, it is waterproof. Yes, he demanded extra "handicap" points.)

Ryan trying not to let Doug's confidence get to him. "He's got nothing'!"

Jack in full anticipation! "Let the games begin!"

First Heat: Thrown from the Wake

 Second Heat: The Merry-Go-Round

 Third Heat: AIR

Style Round: Smile for the Camera

 Bonus Round: Near Death Experience

 And the judges say...
It's a tie!

Cousin Julia and Kevin's Wedding

Ryan's cousin Julia married Kevin this weekend in Snohomish.  It was an absolutely beautiful event in a most gorgeous venue!

 Jack getting ready.

 My handsome boys.

We tried to take a nice family photo but Jack was hamming it up big time and wouldn't stop giving Mommy kisses.  I didn't really mind.

Then he really got into it!

 McGuire Family

Nathan and I missed the memo to make our funny faces!

Seeing if he can sneak up the stairs to get a peek at the bride.

Cousin Ellen and some of the other kids convinced Jack to run with them down the big hill.  It was tons of fun....

...until Jack took a slide into the mud pit!  Oh well, it was a cute suit while it lasted.

 Oh no! Muddy pants!!!

"I don't know how it happened, Mom."

Finally, Cousin Adam took Jack up the stairs to visit the bride. But once he got up there he really just wanted to play with the bars.

We were all freezing, but I guess Jack got hot on the dance floor.

High-fives all around! What a fun wedding!

Cupcakes

Gramma Jean tempted Jack with making cupcakes once we got to Tacoma and he reminded us about this promise every day until it was time to frost!

He had incredible focus during the frosting process.

But I'm pretty sure the testing was his favorite part.

 Mmmmmm!

Now that is one sweet milk mustache - literally!

Yum Yum.

Wednesday Fun

We took Jack over to Jump in Gig Harbor to get out some extra energy before we had lunch with family today.

He loved the slide!

Running around like a "crazy man!"

 Snuggling with Gramma Jean.
