Fun in Tacoma

We are back up in Tacoma for a family wedding and spending some time at Gramma Jean, Gramps and Auntie TC's house.  Jack is so excited to have his own big boy bed in "Gramma Jean's trailer" next to the house, play with all Gramps' cool toys and control Auntie TC's "car."

Here is a picture of the amazing "Gramps' Special Excavator" and "Dozer" that he built.

On Monday, Jack got to go to Gramma Jean's school to see the kids.

We had a proud parent moment when he went into the Principal's office and recited his numbers 1 to 10 and then sang the ABC song in its entirety.  Good job Jack!

That night they had a disco dance for all the kids to celebrate the end of the school year.  We couldn't resist going to get down.

Jack and Daddy warming up the dance floor.

Doing some disco moves straight out of Saturday Night Fever!

Jack got to meet Kennedy, the Principal's niece, and they had a great time dancing together.

Jack instantly had to show off his best move - the splits.

Soon Kennedy was joining in on the fun too.

We almost had to break up the slow dancing!

Break dancing!

Everyone loves to pet Jack's hair.

"Look Jack, we are going to dance more whether you like it or not!"

Then Jack noticed his Mommy crying in the corner.

"Don't worry Mommy..."

"...You're still the only woman for me!"

"Oh no... she wants another dance!!!!!"

It's not a trip to Tacoma without a visit to Blackbear Frozen Yogurt.

Gramps telling some tall tales.

Then Uncle Leo and Jack got into a scaring contest.  Uncle Leo went first....

But Jack won, hands down!

On Tuesday we went to Point Defiance Zoo.
Jack posing by one of the many wild peacocks that walk around the zoo.

We were lucky to catch a shark feeding.

Jack had a good time in the new bird exhibit.  You bought a stick with bird seed on the end and they would land on you to eat.  This is Jack trying to give the birdie a kiss.

Then he got brave and decided to hold his own bird.

Since we are in our comedian stage, no opportunity can go by without making a funny face.  Even the bird was worthy of receiving one.

I'm pretty sure he wanted to take the bird home.  I think he might have even been able to convince his Daddy to let him if our cat hadn't eaten the last "Petey" bird we had!

Great day at the zoo!
