I'm 12 Months Old (recap)

So I think I forgot to post his final 12 month picture - better late than never!

And here is a recap of each month...

Happy Halloween

Jack started his day with some trick-or-treating at school with his class.

 Nate was a cow.....I mean a bull.

At our first house everyone commented on how cute Nate's little tights - I mean hooves - were.  Apparently he found this somewhat offensive, threw down his candy bag and said he was "outta here."

 Frank the Combine Harvester

We have a talking skeleton on the porch that Nate was screaming at.

Seriously, who gave the baby sugar???

Jack with Grammy and Granddaddy watching the Frank the combine harvester video for some costume inspiration.

First Steps

FINALLY we have taken our first steps!

Nate was so proud of himself!

Frank the Combine Harvester Costume

Dad: "Hey Jack - what do you want to be for Halloween?"

Jack: "Hmmmm... I think I want to be a combine harvester!" (of course)

Dad: "A John Deere combine?"

Jack: "No, Frank the Combine Harvester."

For those of you that don't know who Frank is, he is very a minor character from the Disney movie, Cars.  Great - where do you get that kind of a costume???  I spent a long time googling everything I could find on Frank the Combine costumes and the best I could come up with was a blog in Canada with a bunch of moms also looking for a Frank costume.

So, it's a good thing I married Ryan - he spent the weekend crafting this costume from cardboard.  Way to go, Dad!!!!!  Just wait until you have to do better than this one next year!!!

Jack explaining to our neighbors who Frank is.

To help bring down the unemployment rate and improve the economy, Jack has started his own company, Frank the Combine Lawn Care Service.  Our neighborhood is loving it.

Frank makes an appearance in the movie Cars after the characters Mater and Lightning tip over the tractors.  Jack re-created the scene in our front yard.

And then there's this big boy.

Is that your big brother's apple that you have managed to get your hands on?

Naughty!!!!

Zoo Day

My friend from elementary/high school just moved to Fresno and she is a zookeeper at the Fresno zoo.  She was kind enough to take us on a trip to get some behind the scenes fun!

Nate was very unsure about these giraffe animals.

He wouldn't take his eyes off that giraffe for one minute.

We missed the exact shot but the giraffe licked Ryan right across the face!

Jack volunteered and was picked to go up front during the bird show.

Jack had to hold the bird's food while he flew in for a snack.

 Whoa!  Where did Jack go???

What a crazy bird!

Jack and his Llama Llama (one of his favorite books right now).

 Family photo with a goat.

Nate thought this baby goat was hilarious.

Thanks to Katie for a fun trip to the zoo.

It's Contagious!

Just like his brother, Nathan appears to have caught the bug for anything with wheels!

Now he's at the point where he insists on steering... or else!

There really is nothing like a naked trike ride in the afternoon to blow off some steam.
