San Diego

We have been down in San Diego for the last week staying at the Del Coronado for Ryan's annual Valvoline meetings. This year Jack made his first appearance and got to meet everyone. We had an absolute blast and he loved partying into the night with everyone. We have lots of pictures to go through but I could not resist sharing a couple of these. Kristie from Valvoline should quit her day job (even though she does an amazing job of organizing all the events) and become a full time photographer. Jack had a definite crush on her and she was able to get these totally awesome shots of him during the trip. Thanks Kristie!!!!

The Pumkin Patch

We headed out for the local pumkin patch over the weekend. This pumkin patch had it all, so we decided to start off with a hay-maze to see how Jack would handle the afternoon.

"So I'm supposed to go in here and get lost... And this is fun?... You guys are weird."

"Ooooh- the hay is poking me and I don't like it!"

"Oh, sweet! I just found a secret passage! This hay maze is awesome!"

"OK, now what since I have mastered the hay maze?"

"I think I might be lost in the pumkins!"

Jack quickly found a pit of corn. Yep- a pit of corn. And he loved it!

Next he stumbled into the petting zoo...

"Go into the cage, rooster, so that I may pet you roughly without affording you the opportunity of escaping. Ha ha ha!"

"He didn't even run away!"

They actually let the little kids pet baby chicks. Seemed like a bad idea to us, but it ended harmlessly.

"Look at all these pumkins! Which one shall I make my
"Jack"-O-Lantern??? Ha ha ha!"

"Okay, now I'm ready for the grown up corn maze."

"Ummm... I'm pretty sure this is the way... right, guys?"

"Trust me- I saw 'Children of the Corn'."

Speaking of "Children of the Corn"...

What a little turkey!

One Last Boat Day

We took "The Chicken of The Sea" out for one last romp around the lake while the weather was still good. It was 80 degrees and the water was smooth- perfect! I think Jack actually enjoyed himself this time instead of just being miserable in his life jacket. He liked to go FAST!

"Really, Dad- that's all it's got? No wonder you call it The Chicken..."

"You drive like a girl. (No offense, Mom.) Here, let me try."

Here we are actually going all-out and Jack's the only one at the helm... Bad idea? You be the judge... and don't tell CPS.
Two cookies in his mouth at one time.

Two cookies at the same time requires a lot of milk to get them down.

"Please don't let Dad sink us again."

More Tractor Time!

"I'm Number One!"

"Look, Ma- No Hands!"

Tractor Time!

Jack has two new loves: Going to the dump with Dad and riding Grandaddy's tractor. Both generate equal excitement, but I didn't think to use my camera phone at the dump- maybe next time!

We think Grandaddy may be crying(?) because he's not getting to drive...

Attack Of Mommy With The Clippers

"Mom, what's that buzzing noise on my head?"

"Wait a minute...what the heck do you think you are doing?"

"Cutting my hair?!?!?!? Are you insane?!?!?!?"

"No seriously - Dad - someone - STOP HER!"

"You are going to mess up my chances with the ladies!"

"I can't believe you are just sitting there taking pictures of this."

"Maybe if I do my model pose face it doesn't look too bad."

"Alright, I admit, I'm still pretty cute."
