Dozers and Diggers

Grammy and Grandaddy had some heavy equipment out at their house to dig a new road.  We made certain Jack was going to be there because we were pretty sure it would blow his mind to see real bulldozers and diggers.....let's just say we were not disappointed with his total "freak out" reaction when he saw them.

 "Whoa!"

"Look at that HUGE backhoe loader!"

"Look at that HUGE bulldozer! Look at it!"

Jack couldn't wait until everyone left so he could "drive" everything.

He proclaimed, "Jack is so happy!"

Here he is explaining the intricate workings of the backhoe to Grandaddy.

"Whoa, I gotta get in that bucket!"

"Ahhhh - I'm getting scooped up!!"

Next, Daddy and Jack tried out the caterpillar.

Grandaddy and Jack trying out their digger and dumper skills on a smaller mountain of dirt.

Dump, dump, dump.

The Next Day...
Jack had so much fun digging around that we decided to come back the next day for more!

Right when we got there, Jack saw Grandaddy coming up the driveway on his lawnmower. He was so excited at the potential tractor ride that he almost lost his shorts during the sprint down the hill to meet him!

...and (of course) he got one!

We brought Jack's tractor out too so he could try it out on a real construction site!
And when you're working on a real construction site, you have to take your job very seriously!

"Watch out, Mom. I don't want you to get hurt."

Quittin' time after a long day of working for about 20 minutes.
Then it was time to cool off with some crazy hose time!!!

It was all fun and games until he turned on us!
