Parent-Teacher Conference

While she was pregnant, Amy and I always joked about how awful future parent-teacher conferences would be. We could only imagine what Little Jack would say to the teacher and then inform her that he'd heard that "remarkable" thing at home! We just thought it would be a little while longer before it actually happened...

The other day Amy picked him up from the daycare he goes to once a week. One of the ladies was acting like she wanted to say something to Amy and finally, very awkwardly, asked her, "Does Daddy burp in front of Jack a lot?"

What the heck!? I mean, yeah, I do- but come on!

After what I can only imagine was a pretty entertaining game of Twenty Questions Amy finally figured out that the woman was referring to Jack's growling. If you've been reading this blog regularly, then you already know he does that from time to time... actually a lot. Just watch the videos. So all this time the daycare has been thinking Jack's been trying to imitate Dad's burping! That's my boy!!

Anyway, Amy calmly explained that we read a lot of dinosaur books to Jack and he just likes to make those noises. So far his head hasn't spun around 360 degrees like on The Exorcist (although he does spit up green goo when he eats peas...) so we still think he's fine. Clearly, however, this is a sneak-peek into our future of things to come. Can't wait!
